ROOTS, RENEWAL, RADIANCE, AND REVERENCE

Logo

Our logo is not a design, it is a philosophy rendered visually

The Bindi

signifying origin, centrality, conscientiousness, and women’s power. A quiet yet assertive mark of feminine strength, foresight, and presence. This is a deliberate invocation of female wisdom in family businesses, often invisible, yet indispensable.
group-roots

The Roots

symbolic of the foundational values, deep legacy, and accumulated wisdom that ground family businesses.
group-roots

The Shoots

The three upward leaves, represent the three generations that often coexist and co-create in enterprising families. They also signal regeneration, new ventures, and the promise of continuity through change.

The Trunk

The trunk represents the intergenerational bridge, connecting past to future, the structure of governance, and the shared identity. It is through this trunk that legacy becomes action, and values become vision.

Radiating sunrays

Radiating sunrays, echo the principle of trusteeship, the idea that family enterprises, like the sun, generate prosperity not just for themselves but for the broader community. The rays represent impact, warmth, and direction.

Evoking the Goddess

The composition- leaves, rays, and the bindi, together- subtly evokes the face and crown of Goddess Durga, with the central leaf suggestive of her third eye.

Looking Inwards

  • At first glance, it’s a tree- with roots, a trunk, leaves, and radiating rays. But look again…
  • And you may see the meditative form of Gautam Buddha beneath the Bodhi tree. An image of awakening, of quiet clarity amidst noise, of sitting still. Not to escape the world, but to understand it more deeply.
  • This is the spirit we carry into our work with families.
  • Stillness. Reflection. And the possibility of Transformation. From within.

The Name

  • The name Bodhi draws from the Sanskrit word for awakening or enlightenment- a reference to the Bodhi tree under which Siddhartha Gautama attained clarity, balance, and transformation.
  • In the family business context, it speaks to the need for insight, equanimity, and collective reflection.
  • We believe in the Middle Path. Not as a compromise, but as clarity amidst complexity. Our work is grounded in Bodhi principles:
    • Balance between tradition and innovation
    • Equilibrium between family and business
    • Alignment between generations, ownership, and governance
    • Wisdom that is both inherited and earned

The Colour

  • The orange hue woven through the design deepens this meaning: in Indian tradition, orange signifies reverence. Not in the sense of ritual or display, but as a quiet recognition of what is held sacred.
  • There is a quiet reverence in the way families relate to their businesses: a sense of pride, identity, and responsibility that transcends balance sheets.
  • The acronym B.A.N.G, which coincides with our founder’s surname, is no accident. It represents the personal touch, energy, decisiveness, and impact we bring to each engagement.
